Both models feature auto ignition, adjustable gas flow & lightweight portable construction. They can also be used for suitable outdoor ignition jobs including lighting BBQs, fire pits & wood heaters.

What Are HOT Devil Heat Wands?

HOT Devil Heat Wands are long-reach gas flame tools designed for targeted thermal weed control & suitable outdoor heating or ignition tasks.

Instead of spraying a chemical weed killer, the wand applies intense heat directly to unwanted plant growth. The aim is to damage the weed's plant tissue with heat rather than trying to reduce it to ash.

The extended burner tube is an important part of the design. It places distance between the operator & burner while allowing weeds at ground level to be reached without repeatedly bending or kneeling.

Butane Or Propane?

This is the clearest difference between the two HOT Devil models.

The HDWK uses a compatible 220g bayonet butane cartridge while the HD8936B uses a CGA600/BOM-compatible propane cylinder.

If you already operate compatible gas equipment, the fuel system used elsewhere in your kit may influence which wand is more convenient.

The HDWK provides a 650mm burner tube.

The HD8936B extends that to 850mm.
