What Are HOT Devil Gas Cylinders?

HOT Devil gas cylinders, cartridges & refills provide fuel or oxygen for compatible portable flame equipment.

Each format has a particular role.

Trade Map gas is used with compatible high-temperature Trade Map torches. HOT Devil HDTRD is a 400g cylinder with a CGA600 connection & is associated with flame temperatures up to 2050°C when paired with suitable equipment.

Propane provides another fuel choice for compatible torch systems. HOT Devil HDPRO is also supplied as a 400g CGA600 cylinder with a stated burn temperature up to 1898°C.

Butane covers smaller refillable products & appliances. HOT Devil provides both a universal refill format & a separate bayonet cartridge.

Oxygen performs a different role within compatible oxygen-fuel equipment & must be selected according to the connection specified for that system.

Matching the connection is only one part of the job. The equipment must also be approved for the gas being connected.

Read The Equipment Before Reaching For A Cylinder

Look for the specified fuel, cylinder format & connection on the torch, appliance or manufacturer's instructions.

If the equipment calls for Trade Map gas, select the appropriate Trade Map supply. If it specifies propane, butane or an oxygen cylinder, follow that requirement.

Physical fit alone isn't enough to establish compatibility.

Comparing Trade Map & Propane

HOT Devil HDTRD & HDPRO share some physical characteristics but contain different fuels.

Trade Map provides the higher stated burn temperature while propane offers another option for equipment designed to use it.

The matching CGA600 connection shouldn't be treated as permission to change fuels without checking the torch specification.

Know Your Butane Connection

If the product is refilled through a suitable refill valve, HDGAS5 may be the relevant format.

If the equipment accepts a removable 220g bayonet cartridge, look to HD200C.

A quick inspection of the receiving connection can prevent buying the right gas in the wrong package.

HOT Devil oxygen options include different connections such as reverse CGA600 & M12 Oxygen.
