What Are HOT Devil Torches?

HOT Devil Torches are portable gas-powered tools that direct a concentrated flame onto a fitting, joint, fastener or workpiece.

Unlike a gas lighter designed primarily for ignition, a blow torch maintains heat for suitable soldering, brazing & heating processes.

Within the HOT Devil Trade Map range, burner design changes how that heat reaches the work. A swirl flame is designed for rapid heat transfer while different burner tubes can alter the size, position & concentration of the working flame.

The HD032 is particularly useful when the type of work changes. Its turbo burner provides one approach to faster heating while the pencil-flame burner allows heat to be concentrated more precisely.

The HD600 moves in the opposite direction with a larger burner assembly for jobs where greater heat delivery across the workpiece is the priority.

Copper Pipe Soldering

The goal isn't to make the fitting as hot as possible. It's to bring the prepared joint to the appropriate working temperature.

HOT Devil Trade Map torches are suited to silver soldering with the HD032 also providing a pencil-flame option for more delicate heating work.

Before lighting the torch, clean & prepare the pipe, fitting & joint appropriately. Poor preparation isn't corrected by simply applying more flame.

Brazing
