Work Overalls and Protective Coveralls for Australian Industry
Industrial Shed’s overalls and coveralls collection brings together two distinct forms of body coverage: reusable work overalls for daily trade and site wear, and disposable protective coveralls selected for task-specific contamination control. The range currently contains more than 120 product records, led by Worksense industrial overalls and Frontier disposable coveralls. Choose by garment construction, visibility, material, size, protection type and the hazards identified in the job assessment—not by colour or a generic “coverall” label.
These products serve very different purposes. A cotton work overall is designed as durable everyday clothing; a disposable polypropylene, SMS or microporous coverall is a limited-use protective layer whose suitability depends on the exact supplier rating and exposure. Industrial Shed keeps both groups together for convenient comparison while clearly separating their use below.
Worksense reusable work overalls
The Worksense range provides extensive sizing across yellow/navy and orange/navy hi-vis colourways. Visible listings include lightweight long-sleeve cotton overalls and heavier-weight action-back cotton overalls, with regular, stout and long fits available across selected garment families. This is valuable when outfitting mixed-size crews because the same overall style can often be specified across several body and leg proportions.
Product titles identify details such as lightweight or heavy-weight cotton, long sleeves, action-back construction, colourway, size and fit. They also contain supplier coding such as RT or RT1 on selected garments; these codes should be interpreted from the exact supplier specification rather than expanded by assumption. If a site requires particular high-visibility, reflective-tape or garment standards, confirm those attributes on the individual product page before ordering.
Frontier disposable coveralls
Frontier products in this collection include polypropylene coveralls and several disposable protective families whose titles identify SMS, microporous and Type 5 & 6 or related supplier classifications. White, blue and orange options appear across multiple sizes, while selected Frontier Super Suit and microporous lines include further type designations in their product names.
Those labels are not interchangeable. SMS, polypropylene and microporous materials have different construction and performance characteristics, and a disposable garment’s printed type is not a universal approval for every chemical, biological or particulate hazard. Match the precise SKU, material, seams, closures and supplier data to the risk assessment, exposure duration and other PPE being used. For broader protective clothing, compare protective clothing and aprons; for specialist heat or welding exposure, use the flame-resistant workwear collection.
How to select the right garment
-
Reusable daily wear: compare cotton weight, fit, sleeve coverage, visibility details and movement features in the Worksense range.
-
Dust and light contamination tasks: review the exact Frontier material and supplier-listed type for the task; do not select solely from the colour.
-
Crew issue: collect each wearer’s size and required fit—regular, stout or long where offered—before requesting a quote.
-
High-risk work: use the workplace risk assessment and relevant safety guidance to select the entire PPE system, including gloves, respiratory, eye, head and foot protection.
-
Heat, flame or arc hazards: choose garments specifically documented for that hazard. Ordinary cotton overalls are not automatically flame-resistant clothing.
Complete a workwear and PPE system
Overalls are only one part of the setup. Pair everyday garments with correctly selected safety boots and shoes, work socks and insoles and task-appropriate hand protection. For visible outer layers, compare hi-vis shirts and jackets and hi-vis vests. For dirty, wet or contaminated work, assess whether a disposable coverall needs compatible respiratory protection, eye protection and chemical or disposable gloves.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between an overall and a disposable coverall?
A reusable work overall is everyday work clothing designed for repeated wear and laundering. A disposable coverall is a limited-use protective layer selected according to its material and supplier-rated protection.
Does a Type 5 & 6 coverall protect against every dust or liquid?
No. The type marking is only part of the selection. Check the exact model’s supplier data, seams, closures, material compatibility and the workplace risk assessment.
What do regular, stout and long fits mean?
They indicate different body and leg proportions in selected Worksense ranges. Use the size information for the exact garment family; fit conventions should not be assumed to match across brands.
Are cotton overalls flame resistant?
Not automatically. Only choose a garment for flame, heat, arc or welding exposure when the exact product is documented for that hazard.
Can Industrial Shed quote a mixed-size crew order?
Yes. Provide the preferred garment family, colour, sizes and fits, quantities and delivery location for a consolidated quotation.
