RS02 vs SG02 vs EErgo – Which Tool Suits the Job?

The three main Optibelt welding options serve different requirements.

RS02 – friction welding

The RS02 uses controlled friction heat to join compatible round sections, V-sections & special profiles. Optibelt identifies it as particularly suitable for RR & KK belts.

SG02 – occasional welding

The SG02 forms part of Optibelt's Basic service equipment & is intended for occasional joining work with compatible polyurethane RR, HRR & KK belts.

EErgo – regular welding

The temperature-controlled EErgo forms part of Optibelt's Premium service equipment & is intended for regular everyday use with compatible TPE & PU belts from the RR, HRR & KK families.

HRR Hollow Round Belts Have a Separate Nipple-Joining Option

Compatible Optibelt HRR hollow round belts have another joining option that should not be confused with general PU-belt welding.

Optibelt provides connecting nipples specifically for compatible HRR hollow round belts. Pointed pliers are also available to assist with inserting the nipple into the hollow belt.

This is an HRR-specific mechanical joining arrangement.

It should not be treated as a general connector for solid RR round belts, KK V-belts or unrelated polyurethane profiles.
