Bearing Housings & Complete Units
This collection brings together bearing housings, complete mounted units, replacement inserts, sealing components, sleeves and locking hardware for shaft-support applications. The active range includes NBR, FYH, UBC, Asahi and Timken products in pillow-block, flange, take-up, cartridge, plummer-block and thermoplastic formats. Housing selection must be based on the complete arrangement: a matching bore alone does not establish compatibility.
Choose the mounting arrangement first
Identify the original housing or complete-unit designation, then match the mounting style. Pillow blocks mount to a horizontal base; two- and four-bolt flanges mount to a machine face; take-up units allow positional adjustment; cartridge housings suit a defined bore or frame arrangement. The range also includes thermoplastic and corrosion-conscious housings where the product specifications identify them. Confirm the complete manufacturer designation, not only a similar-looking shape.
Check the complete fitment data
Record the shaft diameter and unit system, insert-bearing series, centre height, bolt-hole centres, housing orientation, locking method, seal arrangement and lubrication provision. Set-screw, eccentric-collar and other locking designs are not automatically interchangeable. Check the manufacturer data for load, speed, temperature, contamination and wash-down suitability before ordering or installing.
Separate housings, inserts and complete units
Some listings are bare housings, some are replacement insert bearings and others are complete units. Check exactly what is supplied on the product page. For replacement inserts, see Cartridge & Insert Bearings. For ready-to-install assemblies, compare Mounted Bearing Units. For specific housing forms, view Solid Housings, Pressed Metal Housings and Plummer Block Housings.
Inspection and installation
Before replacement, inspect the shaft seat, mounting face, fasteners, seals and lubrication path. A damaged housing, fretted shaft or worn locking component can prevent a new bearing from performing correctly. Follow the equipment and bearing manufacturer instructions for alignment, mounting, tightening and lubrication; recheck the assembly after commissioning.
Bearing Housing FAQs
How do I identify the correct bearing housing?
Use the full existing housing or unit code, then verify the mounting pattern, shaft or bore size, insert-bearing series, bolt centres, centre height and sealing arrangement. A dimensional check against the manufacturer data is essential before ordering.
Are all items in this collection complete bearing units?
No. The collection includes housings, complete units, inserts, sleeves, seals and locking components. Read the individual listing carefully to confirm the supplied components and whether additional parts are required.
Can I change from a set-screw unit to an eccentric-locking unit?
Not without confirming the complete application. The locking style, shaft condition, housing arrangement, operating load and manufacturer recommendation need to be compatible before a different unit style is selected.
