The Tapsert 3920-20X26 is a self-cutting threaded insert available in yellow zinc passivated case hardened steel, designed for metric thread repair and creation in alloys, plastics, castings, and soft metals. Tapserts feature both internal and external threads — they are driven into a pre-formed or pre-drilled retaining hole and the cutting slots effectively tap the hole as the insert is wound into the parent material, eliminating the need for separate tapping tools.
