Bremick K0 8.8 Structural Bolt Assembly Galvanised M24 x 200 (Box of 20)

A box of 20 Bremick K0 property class 8.8 structural bolt assemblies, M24 x 200mm, hot dip galvanised. K0 assemblies are manufactured and tested to AS/NZS 1252.1:2016 and AS/NZS 1252.2:2016, the standard for high-strength structural bolting called up by AS 4100 and AS/NZS 5131. Each assembly is a bolt, Class 8 nut and hardened washer, supplied together.

► Key Features

  • Property class 8.8 high-strength structural bolt, Class 8 nut and hardened washer
  • Manufactured and tested to AS/NZS 1252.1:2016 and AS/NZS 1252.2:2016
  • Unique trace headmark on every bolt for full batch traceability
  • Test certificates available online from Bremick using the job number on the box or the trace number on the bolt: bremick.com.au/certificates
  • Hot dip galvanised for corrosion protection on exposed and outdoor steelwork
  • Suits snug-tight, part-turn and direct tension indicator tensioning methods

► Applications

  • Steel frame connections in commercial, industrial and civil structures
  • Bolted connections tensioned to AS/NZS 5131 (part-turn or direct tension indicator)
  • Fabricator and erector supply where certified, traceable assemblies are specified

► Tensioning Notes

  • AS/NZS 5131 accepts two methods for tensioning high-strength structural bolts: part-turn, and direct tension indication.
  • Torque wrench tensioning is not permitted, because thread condition, lubrication and galvanising make the torque-to-tension relationship unreliable.
  • Bring every bolt in the connection to snug-tight before final tensioning.
  • Tensioning must be carried out by a competent person. Always work to the full standard and the project specification.
