The Bordo 1/2" x 14 BSPF Chrome Alloy Die Nut is part of Bordo’s professional threading tool range, engineered to cut, chase or form British Standard Pipe Fine (BSPF) external threads where space is limited or a button die cannot be used. Designed for workshop and on-site applications, this robust die nut delivers reliable performance for general-purpose mechanical coupling and pipe threading tasks.

Manufactured from chrome alloy and specified to JIS and ISO R228 standards, this BSPF die nut features a 1/2" major diameter with 14 threads per inch (TPI) and a 55° thread angle — the standard for BSPF (G Series) pipe threads used primarily for mechanical connection. It can be used to clean worn external threads (thread chasing) or cut new threads on non-ferrous metals like aluminium, brass and bronze, as well as plastics. Chrome alloy die nuts are durable and suited for everyday threading work but are not recommended for precision-critical or safety-critical applications.
