This durable chrome alloy die nut delivers reliable performance in general fabrication, maintenance and on-site applications.

Constructed from chrome alloy and featuring a fine-pitch UNF thread form — a threading standard introduced in 1948 to unify imperial threads — the 1-1/4" diameter with 12 threads per inch (TPI) provides increased tensile stress area and resistance to stripping versus coarser thread profiles. This makes it suitable for chasing worn threads, cleaning existing male threads or cutting new threads on non-ferrous metals like aluminium, brass, bronze and plastics. Chrome alloy dies are ideal for general-purpose threading but are not recommended for precision or safety-critical thread applications.
