The Bordo ⅛″ x 28 BSPT Bottoming HSS Tap is a precision pipe threading tool from Bordo’s High Speed Steel range, engineered for creating British Standard Pipe Taper (BSPT) threads right to the bottom of blind holes. This bottoming tap delivers accurate, fine-thread cuts for secure pipe connections and mechanical fittings, ideal for workshop, plumbing and trade applications.

Manufactured from premium High Speed Steel (HSS), this tap features a bottoming lead that minimises thread run-out so you can achieve full thread depth in restricted spaces. The ⅛″ major diameter with 28 threads per inch (TPI) follows the BSPT (RC Series Pipe Taper) standard — a V-thread based on a 55° Whitworth form widely adopted internationally for sealing pipe ends by mating with external (male) threads.
