Made from high quality High Speed Steel (HSS), this tap features the BA 4 thread form with a 0.66 mm pitch — a fine thread standard originally adopted for precision instruments and assemblies. Bottoming taps have a short chamfer (two lead threads) that allows you to complete threads to the base of blind holes after using a taper or intermediate tap.
