Manufactured from premium High Speed Steel (HSS), the 12G x 28 UNF Bottoming Tap features a bottoming lead (two threads) that allows thread cutting right to the base of blind holes with excellent control and thread quality. The 28 threads per inch (TPI) fine thread form offers enhanced tensile stress area and resistance to stripping compared with coarse threads, making it suitable for use in materials such as aluminium, brass, plastics and other general fabrication components.
