Based on the BSF standard (BS84:1956), this fine thread form provides a tighter pitch and improved tensile stress area compared to coarser imperial threads — ideal for automotive, engineering and metal fabrication projects where strong internal threads are required.

Manufactured from premium High Speed Steel (HSS), this Bordo tap features a taper lead (eight threads) that helps guide the tool smoothly into the material, making it an excellent starting tap for difficult or high-precision holes.
