The Bordo 7/8" x 11 BSF Bottoming HSS Tap is a premium British Standard Fine (BSF) thread cutting tool engineered to produce full-depth, precise internal threads — especially at the bottom of blind holes. Designed for workshop, fabrication, mechanical and industrial applications, this bottoming tap provides minimal thread run-out and reliable performance in medium tensile materials when completing fine internal threads.

Manufactured from high-speed steel (HSS) and featuring the classic British Standard Fine (BSF) thread form — a fine-pitch variant of the Whitworth series specified under BS84:1956 — this tap offers strong engagement and excellent resistance to stripping under load. Bottoming taps have a short two-thread lead, allowing threads to be cut right to the base of blind holes after starting with taper or intermediate taps. With a 7/8" nominal diameter and 11 threads per inch (TPI), an approximate drill size of 20 mm and an overall length of 118 mm, the 3030-7/8B is suitable for both hand and general machine use.
