Manufactured from premium High Speed Steel (HSS), this BSF tap set uses the classic British Standard Fine thread form — a refined Whitworth-derived profile with 10 threads per inch — providing greater tensile stress area and improved resistance to stripping compared to coarse thread forms of similar size. The set includes a taper tap for easy thread starting, an intermediate tap for accurate sizing true to the pilot hole, and a bottoming tap to complete full-depth threads to the base of blind holes.
