Manufactured from durable High Speed Steel (HSS), this BSW bottoming tap features the traditional Whitworth thread form — characterised by a 55° thread angle with rounded roots and crests — offering excellent thread engagement and strength. Bottoming taps have a lead of two threads and are typically used after a taper or intermediate tap to finish threads to the bottom of blind holes. Suitable for both hand tapping and general machine use, this tap delivers dependable performance across medium tensile materials.
