The Bordo 5/32″ × 32 BSW Bottoming HSS Tap is a precision-engineered British Standard Whitworth bottoming hand and machine tap designed for producing full-depth threads with minimal thread run-out in blind holes. Built to classic BSW standards, this bottoming tap is ideal for workshop, maintenance, fabrication and general trade applications where strong, accurate Whitworth threads are required.

Manufactured from high-quality High Speed Steel (HSS), this BSW bottoming tap features the traditional British Standard Whitworth thread form with a 55° thread angle and rounded roots and crests — developed by Sir Joseph Whitworth and specified in BS84:1956. Bottoming taps have a lead of two threads to allow tapping close to the bottom of a blind hole, typically used after an initial taper or intermediate tap to complete the threading process. Designed for both hand and general machine use, this tap delivers dependable performance across a variety of medium tensile materials.
