Designed to BS84:1956 British Standard Whitworth standards with the traditional 55° thread angle and classic rounded thread form, this comprehensive set delivers accurate and reliable thread cutting from start to finish.

Manufactured from high quality High Speed Steel (HSS), this HSS tap set includes taper, intermediate and bottoming tap leads to cover the full thread cutting progression: taper taps for thread starting, intermediate taps for cutting to full depth true to the pilot hole, and bottoming taps for minimal run-out when threading blind holes. With a tap diameter of 1-1/2″ and 6 threads per inch (TPI), this set is designed for dependable performance in medium tensile materials and is suitable for both hand tool and general machine tapping.
