Manufactured from durable high-speed steel (HSS), this bottoming tap features a 60° Metric Fine thread angle with a flat thread crest and engineered root clearance that promotes smooth engagement between internal and external threads. The larger root radius and lower thread height improve chip flow and increase thread strength, making it ideal for tapping to the bottom of blind holes. Bottoming taps have a two-thread lead, and they are typically used after a taper or intermediate tap has initiated the thread form.
