Featuring a Metric Fine (MF) thread form with a 60° thread angle, flat crest and generous root clearance, this tap design promotes strong engagement between internal and external threads while the larger root radius and lower thread height improve thread strength and ease screw thread processing. Taper taps have an eight-thread chamfer that gradually forms the threads as it moves deeper into the hole for a smoother, more controlled start.
