This bottoming tap features a specifically designed lead profile to minimise thread run-out and ensure strong, accurate thread engagement — making it ideal for precision machining, fabrication and workshop applications.

Manufactured from premium High Speed Steel (HSS) with a Metric Fine (MF) thread form, this tap delivers a 60° thread angle with a flat crest and root clearance for excellent engagement between external and internal threads. The larger root radius and reduced thread height reduce cutting resistance and improve thread strength and tool life. Bottoming taps are typically used after a taper or intermediate tap to complete the thread in blind holes, delivering superior results when full thread depth is required.
