The Bordo 12 x 1.5 mm MF Intermediate HSS Tap is a professional-grade Metric Fine (MF) threading tool designed for accurate internal thread cutting in medium tensile materials. Manufactured from high-speed steel (HSS) with a 60° Metric Fine thread form, this intermediate tap features a flat thread crest and engineered root clearance that promotes smooth engagement between internal and external threads. The larger root radius and lower thread height improve chip flow, increase thread strength and help produce a cleaner threaded finish. Intermediate taps have a lead of four threads and are commonly used after a taper tap to cut threads true to a pre-drilled pilot hole. With a 12 mm diameter, 1.5 mm pitch, 10.5 mm drill diameter and an overall length of 89 mm, this tap is suitable for hand or general machine use in a variety of machinable materials.
