Manufactured from premium High Speed Steel (HSS), this tap features a Metric Coarse (MC) 60° thread form with a flat crest and head clearance that promotes strong engagement between internal and external threads. The larger root radius and moderate thread height improve thread strength and make cutting easier and smoother. Bottoming taps have a minimal lead (typically two threads), allowing you to complete the thread profile right to the bottom of a blind hole after starting with a taper or intermediate tap.
