Manufactured from High-Speed Steel (HSS) for durability and wear resistance, this 4.5 mm diameter tap with a 0.75 mm pitch features a 60° metric coarse thread form with a flat crest and root clearance that enhances thread strength and engagement. The intermediate lead (lead of four threads) promotes easier cutting and chip control compared with bottoming taps, making it suitable for a wide range of medium tensile materials such as steel, aluminium and plastics — usable in both hand and general machine applications.
