Manufactured from premium High Speed Steel (HSS), this tap features a Metric Coarse (MC) 60° thread form with a flat crest and root clearance, promoting strong engagement between internal and external threads while enhancing thread strength with a larger root radius and lower thread height. Bottoming taps have a shortened lead (typically two threads) that enables tapping right to the bottom of a blind hole after initial thread starting with a taper or intermediate tap.
