Manufactured from premium high speed steel (HSS), the 36 mm diameter bottoming tap features a 60° metric coarse thread form with a flat crest and clearance at the root, allowing excellent engagement between internal and external threads. The bottoming lead (two thread lead) ensures minimum run-out when tapping to the bottom of blind holes, typically following the use of a taper or intermediate tap to start the thread. With a drill size of 32 mm and 162 mm overall length, this tap is suitable for general threading in workshop and maintenance environments.
