The Bordo 3 × 0.5 mm MC Bottoming HSS Tap is a professional-grade Metric Coarse (MC) bottoming tap designed for finishing internal threads with minimal run-out at the bottom of blind holes. Built from high-speed steel (HSS), this bottoming tap delivers dependable cutting performance and clean thread form for general workshop and on-site applications. Bottoming taps are typically used after a taper or intermediate tap to achieve full thread depth in blind holes.

Featuring a metric coarse 60° thread profile with a flat crest and root clearance, this 3 mm tap has excellent engagement with standard M3 fasteners. The larger root radius and reduced thread height improve thread strength and make cutting easier, while the bottoming lead (two threads) ensures minimum thread run-out when tapping to the bottom of a blind hole. Manufactured from premium HSS, this tap is suitable for use in medium tensile materials and can be used by hand or in a general machine.
