Manufactured from premium High Speed Steel (HSS), this intermediate tap features a lead of four threads which provides a balanced entry and thread depth — making it suitable for cutting internal threads true to a correctly drilled pilot hole. It utilises the ISO metric coarse thread form with a 60° thread angle, flat crest and root clearance that promote strong engagement between internal and external threads. The larger root radius and moderate thread height help increase thread strength and reduce breakage risk. This tap is suitable for both hand and general machine tapping tasks.
